what I want for our anniversary.January 10th, 2013 3 comments
To my non-Grace Church readers, I’ll be back soon with some regular posts I’ve been working on for the new year. But I hope you’ll indulge me this one in the meantime.
Grace, the church my husband Mike and I planted in 2003, will turn ten years old in February.
There are not enough blog posts in the world to cover all the ways I feel about that.
We called it Grace because of a last-minute church-naming contest, but God knew what He was doing with even this. For it is only grace that sustains us, only grace that covers all the ways we’ve fallen down and risen up again, only grace that turns any small offering we’ve laid down into something beautiful and eternal.
Ten years ago, I would have just said that because it is true. But now, it is Truth; I live it. I believe it.
He is so good.
Anniversaries often call for gifts, but there’s only one thing the Pastor and I really want. If you’re a part of Grace, or were once for a season, or you’ve been somehow impacted by the ministry of its people without ever setting foot in our doors, here’s a way to let the Church know what it has meant to your life, even in some small way.
I hope to see you at our Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, February 10th.
Thanks be to God. And to you, too.
